Winter WorkDay Coordinator

Terms of Employment: Contract position, December–April, 10 hours/week

New City Cleveland is committed to empowering residents of Buckeye-Woodhill through faith, equity, and justice. Winter Workday is a social enterprise workforce development program that equips local high school students for leadership and job readiness while providing snow removal services for senior citizens in the community. Students work alongside volunteer mentors both on job sites and during monthly leadership sessions. The Winter Workday Coordinator is responsible for the daily implementation of the Winter Workday program in alignment with New City Cleveland’s mission. This role supports recruitment, engagement, and coordination of Workday participants and volunteers. -
Collaborate with the Chief Programs Officer to coordinate the intake of new students and senior clients from Woodhill and the surrounding Buckeye neighborhood.
Recruit, organize, and connect volunteers to appropriate service opportunities.
Initiate and organize on-call snow removal work based on the needs of senior clients.
Plan and support regular training sessions and team huddles throughout the work season.
Communicate essential information and manage data collection from students, volunteers, and clients.
Coordinate with NCC staff on communications, scheduling, and program planning tasks.
Conduct grant research and assist with grant reporting as needed.
Represent Winter Workday at relevant events, networking opportunities, and community collaborations.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
Experience working with teenagers in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
Experience with landscaping and/or entrepreneurship preferred.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).
Strong interpersonal communication skills that honor the dignity of residents.
Ability to collect, track, and organize data clearly and accurately.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Eagerness to work in a faith-based organizational context.
Passion for racial justice.

MamaStrong Coordinator

Terms of Employment: Part-time, 10 hours/week
Compensation: $18/hourPosition Summary
New City Cleveland is committed to empowering residents of Buckeye-Woodhill through faith, equity, and justice. The MamaStrong Coordinator is key to the development and strengthening of one of our three essential programs. Under the direction of the Program Officer, this role is responsible for the implementation of the MamaStrong program in alignment with the mission of New City Cleveland. This position will support the efforts of the CPO in maintaining and growing engagement with MamaStrong participants and volunteers. -
Work cooperatively with CPO to coordinate intake of referrals and engagement of program participants from Woodhill and the surrounding Buckeye neighborhood.
Organizing and connecting volunteers to the appropriate opportunities to serve
Assist in building out and launching a sustainable monthly motherhood support circle
Plan and support the planning of outreach events to connect with Woodhill moms
Communicating necessary information/managing information gathering from program participants and volunteers
Work in coordination with NCC’s Administrative Intern to handle communications and planning tasks
Grant research and reporting as needed
Represent MamaStrong where opportunities arise to network and/or build community collaboration

Bachelor’s degree in social work, health care or related field preferred.
